A homeowner in Belmont recently reached out to our team at DLM Remodeling to replace a 3 wide window over their kitchen sink. Their old windows were fogging up and the condensation was making it nearly impossible to see through the glass. They contacted our team in search of clear, beautiful replacement windows that would provide the home with more light & beauty than the old, foggy windows had. We met with the homeowners to discuss our window replacement options and they decided on swapping out the two casements for two sliders and they wanted to keep a wide picture window in the middle of the unit. After visiting the home to discuss our window options and collect the dimensions for the windows, we ordered the replacement windows to be delivered to the shop. After they had arrived, our team returned to their residence and we got to work on replacing the windows!
The first thing that our team had to tackle was getting the old windows out of the way. We got to work on removing the old trim & frames of the windows in order to get the old windows out of the way. After removing the old windows from the home, we had to examine the frames of the windows to ensure that there was no rot damage preventing the new windows from being properly installed. Once our team had determined that the window frames were in good enough shape to be replaced, we installed the new picture and slider windows. We ensured to caulk & seal around the windows in order to prevent the condensation & ensure that the windows would be kept in good shape.
The homeowners were satisfied with their replacement windows, and we’re thrilled that they were satisfied with the finished product. Their home will be well-protected for the years ahead, and the new window looks fantastic!
