A homeowner recently reached out to our team at DLM Remodeling looking to replace their home’s kitchen window. The old window was an outdated garden window that was leaking air, reducing the energy efficiency of the kitchen and leading to noise pollution for the homeowners. The homeowners wanted to install another curb appeal providing window that would function as a focal point in the kitchen. We met with the homeowners to discuss all of our available window options and they decided on installing a beautiful new bay window. We met with the homeowners to get the dimensions for the replacement, and then ordered the window and waited for it to arrive at our headquarters. Once the replacement had arrived, we returned to the home to begin the replacement process.
First our team had to remove the old garden window. We removed the trim around the window and detached it from the house. After disposing of the old window, our crew got to work on installing the new replacement. We had to examine the frame around the window and ensure there was no structural damage to the frame. After ensuring we could install the new window with no issues, our team got to work on installing the new bay window. We caulked around the window, ensuring it would be probably sealed and far more energy efficient than the old garden window that it replaced.
The homeowners were very satisfied with the replacement window, and our team is happy to know that they were happy with the finished product and that their home will be well protected for years to come!
